Madison Beer and Justin Herbert Announce Engagement
The Grammy-nominated singer and the Los Angeles Chargers quarterback announced their engagement on social media, sharing photographs of the proposal.
Singer Madison Beer and Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert have announced their engagement, sharing photographs of the proposal on social media, the BBC reported.
The images showed Herbert on one knee holding a ring box, with Beer crouched in front of him. The couple were first publicly seen together in August 2025.
A relationship played out courtside
Beer, 27, attended Chargers games throughout last season, and the pair have regularly been photographed at Dodgers and Lakers fixtures in Los Angeles.
Herbert, 28, also appeared in the video for Beer's single "lovergirl" earlier this year, in which the two are shown walking together along a beach.
Congratulations from the league
The Chargers marked the announcement with a social media post reading "JH+MB 4EV", while the NFL wrote on X: "Congrats to Justin Herbert and Madison Beer on their engagement."
The timing was tight. Herbert was due at training camp the following day for the start of his seventh season with the Chargers — a team with which he has yet to win a championship.
From a Bieber tweet to two Grammy nominations
Beer's career began unusually young. She was 13 when Justin Bieber shared a video of her covering Etta James' "At Last" in 2012, an endorsement that brought her sudden attention.
She released her debut single the following year, with a video in which Bieber appeared. She has since been nominated for two Grammy awards, building a career well beyond that initial moment of viral exposure.
The engagement places two figures from separate corners of American entertainment — professional football and pop music — in the same story, a pairing that guarantees attention in both.
