Catherine Connell has assumed responsibility as the new deputy chief of mission at the United States Embassy in Pakistan. Embassy leadership welcomes Connell

US Charge d'Affaires Natalie Baker welcomed Connell to the position and highlighted both her diplomatic background and familiarity with Pakistan. Connell's earlier assignments in Karachi and Lahore have given her experience of the country beyond the federal capital and an understanding of its varied political, economic and social landscape.

The embassy said Connell would work closely with Baker as the diplomatic mission continues efforts to strengthen relations between Pakistan and the United States. Previous Pakistan experience
