ISLAMABAD: The federal government has approved the deployment of Rangers in Islamabad

In a significant move, the federal government has authorized the deployment of Rangers in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and several districts across Punjab. This action comes in anticipation of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party's planned march on September 27, aiming to demand the release of Imran Khan and mobilize public support for the supremacy of the Constitution. The Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control issued a notification revealing that the Rangers' deployment has been authorized following requests from both the chief commissioner of ICT and the Punjab government's home department.

- Rangers will operate under the guidance of the Islamabad chief commissioner and the provincial government.
