Tottenham Hotspur Women have broken their transfer record to sign France defender Alice Sombath from Lyonnes, adding the 22-year-old as their sixth arrival of the summer.
The fee has not been disclosed, but it is understood to surpass the club’s previous record outlay for Signe Gaupset in January, which was reported at more than £375,000. The deal marks another significant move for Spurs as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
