Saudi govt launches multiple-entry Umrah visa with one-year validity

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Haj and Umrah has introduced a multiple-entry Umrah visa valid for one year from the date it is issued, according to the state-run Saudi Press Agency, or SPA.

Under the new arrangement, pilgrims will be able to enter the kingdom several times during the visa’s validity period, with total stays capped at 90 days per year. The visa is intended to give travelers more flexibility in planning Umrah trips while keeping each visit tied to the kingdom’s digital services system.

SPA said each trip will require the purchase of a service package from an approved provider on the Nusuk platform, which offers Umrah packages across different price tiers. The packages must not exceed the remaining days available on the visa. Entry will also depend on obtaining an Umrah permit through the Nusuk application before arrival.

The report said the visa will be deactivated after a pilgrim leaves Saudi Arabia and can be reactivated once the regulatory conditions are met for a future visit. It will not be available during the Haj season, defined in the report as running from the first of Ziqad to the 13th of Zilhaj.

SPA quoted the Haj ministry as saying the measure is meant to increase flexibility in visit planning and support the integration of digital and operational services across the pilgrim journey. The policy comes as Saudi Arabia continues to handle large numbers of worshippers, with the kingdom’s General Authority for Statistics reporting that nearly 43 million pilgrims performed Umrah in 2025.
